Let Them Be Not Forgotten

<p>They survived the Great Depression helped win two world wars lived</p><p>through the birth of the space age and witnessed the introduction of</p><p>the internet. The real- life characters eulogized in this book were special not</p><p>because they held prodigious political power or amassed large amounts of</p><p>wealth but precisely because they were ordinary. They walked among us largely</p><p>unknown but helped shaped and define the American character through the</p><p>20th Century. Most were part of what has been called the greatest generation</p><p>because America reached its greatest zenith during their tenure. Their eulogies</p><p>first delivered at their funerals offer snippets from their lives which reveal their</p><p>character contributions personalities and spiritual strength.
