Rev. Rudolph O''Dell was a well known Bluegrass gospel singer within the Southwest Virginia area. He had a weekly radio show for over forty years and his shows contained his own compositions within the traditional gospel style as well as other well known gospel songs. Rev. O''Dell lived a very difficult and tumultuous life. He was plagued by numerous illnesses his whole life a traumatic childhood emotional problems and years of financial woes however his music reflects his strong commitment and faith in his GOD and despite his trials and tribulations he continued to praise the glories of GOD and Heaven in his music by spreading it to everyone he knew through his ministry weekly broadcasts recordings of his numerous songs as well as touring around to various localities within the area singing and preaching the word of GOD.
