Our eyes open and we are born. We enter into a world of mystery without any preparation. We are naive. Not knowing who to love who can be trusted or even how to speak our mind. We are at the disposal of who we are born to. We begin to experience things for our own and we are living: happiness loneliness holidays friends. Then we sit down look over our many days we lived with our eyes open and finally we pass. Our eyes close and our lives here are at an end. Through a series of poems Heather Mead addresses various aspects of life. She takes us a step deeper into the meaning behind her poems by providing a background and explaining the inspiration behind them. Wake up to life with her as a newborn experience growing up through her pages and then slowly pass to life's ending in her poems.
