Life in Czechoslovakia behind Iron Curtain

Today young generation as in the Czech Republic as foreigners mostly knows little about the history of the totalitarian systems of the 20th century in satellite and occupied countries. The author has come to this conclusion on the basis of her teaching experience. Therefore she decided to elaborate the book “Life in Czechoslovakia Behind Iron Curtain“ based on the new archival materials and the latest Czech professional literature focused on the Communist regime from 1945-1989. These archival documents were not available until 1989 the year when the archives were opened for public and researchers providing a deeper insight concerning the decades of “dictatorship of the working class”. The goal of this publication is predominantly educational.
