About the Author: Vivek Datta FIA graduated from the South Indian Education Society Mumbai University with a major in Statistics and a minor in Computer Science. He qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) in 2021. Vivek''s career began as a Market Research Executive for leading FMCG players like Coca-Cola Johnson & Johnson and Nokia. Then for about a decade he pursued the Actuarial profession with JLT WTW and Mercer (Singapore) respectively serving clients across India the UK the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Today he leads the Academics and Placement verticals at the Institute of Actuarial & Quantitative Studies (IAQS). He strongly believes that this is one of the most noble professions due to the responsibilities involved.
