I grew up in South Texasas they say “born and bred.”The Rio Grande Valley actsas if it is its own little world.Things are done differentlyin this part of Texas. I livedfi ve minutes from the borderand used to watch illegalimmigrants running throughmy backyard. I knew drugdealers smugglers wantedpersons you name it Iprobable knew them. Some type of law enforcement personswere always parked outside or around my house. I didn’t wantthat life so I changed it. I went to college got a degree andmoved away. I moved to a small town where the sun shines allthe time and the beaches and bays never stop moving. I usedmy research and my past to write the story of a group of friendsthat turn to a life of crime due to extreme circumstances. Theirabilities are quickly found out by authorities but they couldnever be punished since they were never caught in the act orleft evidence to be caught. Agents decided it would be morebenefi cial to turn these misfi t wannabe’s into an invaluableresource to help fi ght the criminal elements that exist in ourworld today. The group became a self contained element thatwere turned to when extra help was needed to accomplish agoal that would otherwise not be achieved. Descriptions suchas people places and crimes are based on actual events thathave happened. This is their story.
