Light Shifts

<p><em>Light Shifts</em> comprised entirely of sonnets and related essays reveals her love of the strict classical form used by the Elizabethans and particularly by William Shakespeare. The sonnet form is also referred to as the English sonnet which adheres to the rhyme scheme of three quatrains of alternating rhymes end-stopped by a couplet. The rhythm is iambic pentameter throughout the fourteen lines. The quatrains pose or present a theme questions argument condition or position. The couplet resolves and answers what the quatrains present. In <em>Light Shifts</em> Carole Di Tosti tackles issues of spiritual love faith in God depression soul struggles Nature's life lessons and religion and politics. Also there is an in memoriam section.</p>
