The year 2007 was game-changing for Indian cricket. In March that year Indian cricket was rocked by the early exit at the 50-over World Cup in the Caribbean. However in the months ahead the team picked up the pieces and charted a path to recovery. In the backdrop was the ICC World T20 2007 - the first ever world championship in the format. India opted to back the youngsters led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. There were no expectations or the pressure of history. In South Africa MS Dhoni and his men dazzled the public and clinched victory in a dramatic final against arch-rivals Pakistan. A lot happened on and off the field in the months between India's nadir and zenith that year. This book explores those events and recounts how Indian cricket changed in those months.
