Linguistic Analysis of the Speech Made in Interview Situation

This book is a contribution to the linguistic analysis of discursive practices that occur in verbal interactions carried out in job interview situations. The text presented here thus demonstrates that in job interviews interviewers and interviewees summon a set of voices from the discourse and thus inscribe polyphony in the discourse with the aim of maintaining the inter-national balance of the faces of the interlocutors present. It is understood therefore that this research is concerned with the analysis of the delicate discourse strategies that occur in specific job interview situations being a clear demonstration that social actors influence each other and integrate into social praxis through discourse.
