Lions Chew the Grass

I began writing my novel with the final scene dedicated to the end of all wars in the world. However as I neared the completion of the composition an actual war began. After completing my MA years ago I moved from Russia to Ukraine. In the spring of 2022 I responded as a medical volunteer. This experience forced me to finish the book by 2023. I was inspired by Nietzsche and James Joyce's technique of concealing meanings within the text crafting my topological 'ornaments with gaps'. This way the biblical tittle 'Lions Chew the Grass' can be read as dzogchen 'Lovers Chod the Grace'. I drew inspiration from Lacanian psychoanalysis I quoted authors from Sei Shonagon to Otto Kernberg.
