<p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(128 128 128 1)>I am going to call this baby Patience for if she lives she will have plenty of trouble and perhaps the name will help her bear it better.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(128 128 128 1)>So Grandma Parlin was born on New Year's Day 1800 as Patience Lyman.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(128 128 128 1)>Before she was a loving grandmother to Susy Prudy and Alice Parlin and Grace Horace and Katie Clifford Patience was the youngest daughter of eleven brothers and sisters. The many trials of her youth demanded much of her namesake.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(128 128 128 1)>This is the story of her little childhood as she told it to Katie Flyaway Clifford.</span></p>
