Living standards for rural uneducated married youth often decline. Reduced economic opportunities and deteriorating health frequently increase vulnerability to poverty as people age. The high incidence of married youth poverty and vulnerability makes a strong case for public policy responses to support living standards in youthful age.Howeverthis has not been the case in Kobwin sub-county Kobwin Development In today’s changing demographic economic political and environmental changes the livelihood strategies developed by the rapidly growing population of the rural uneducated married youth in Kobwin Sub County deserve a particular attention.Lack of support by the state coupled with decreasing family support has meant that rural uneducated married youth are increasingly expected to find their means of support.This study uses an exploitative approach in its quest to understand the various livelihood strategies of the rural uneducated married youth.A comparative analysis with other counties reveals that rural uneducated married youth have been able to reduce poverty.By engaging in different livelihood activitiesthe rural youth in Kobwin Sub County have been able to make ends meet.
