Therefore it is of great importance to investigate the impact of the disease on the quality of life of affected individuals in more detail. Due to society''s lack of knowledge about the disease affected individuals often experience social stigmatization which additionally leads to a high psychological burden. Many sufferers live in constant uncertainty which is why social activities are often avoided. The continuity of doctors and nurses plays an essential role in the disease process.
