Living with the Albularyos

Filipino shamanism which is also known in the Philippines as Faith Healing has gained foothold in the Filipinos' worldview that despite the rapid modernization of the Health Care Delivery System there are still Filipinos who opt to consult a quack doctor faith healer herbolario or albularyo magtatanduk or shamans regarding an illness they experience. This book essays the experiences of those Shaman advocates who experienced first-hand the healing powers of those shamans using the qualitative research design called descriptive phenomenology. What are these experiences? What can we learn from these experiences?
