Load Balancing in Cloud Environment

‘Cloud Computing’ is the fastest growing computing technology in recent years. It has turned away services from desktop and portable PC's into large Data Centers through Internet. In Cloud Computing services that run on servers are provided on a leased basis. User can use the services by paying for the services.Load balancing on cloud computing is very crucial aspect due to difference in timeregion type of service required number of user requesting for service etc. Load balancing is done by providing uninterrupted services without any delay and optimal utilization of available resources which leads to improved user trust. In this book authors has deeply analyzed existing load balancing algorithms in a cloud environment. ‘Cloud Analyst’ is used as a simulation tool for simulating existing load balancing algorithm and results are analyzed on various parameters.As a major contribution in load balancing author(s) has proposed a‘Load Balancing Hybrid Model (LBHM)’ combining the characteristics of‘Throttled Algorithm’ and ‘Equally Spread Current Execution (ESCE) Algorithm’.
