Ross Burns' second book Long Road to Boston takes us on his personal and heartfelt journey to fulfill a long-held dream to one day run the Boston Marathon.

After delving briefly into his early childhood years growing up on the northern beaches of Sydney and working for over thirty years as a lawyer in Canberra much of the book spans Ross' life between 2008 and 2017. In 2008 he 'retires' to live the 'good life' in the pristine South Gippsland seaside town of Venus Bay becomes a reluctant 'chef' in a seafood caf then 'accidentally' re-locates to Perth as a senior commercial lawyer in a Perth law firm before eventually moving to beautiful Margaret River and undergoing yet another personal 'reinvention'. This time working as a FIFO contractor on remote mine and rail construction sites in the spectacular Pilbara desert region of Western Australia.

Interspersed with humour and personal drama Long Road to Boston is the story of an everyday man his deep love of running his quest in his own small way to help repair the trauma of the shocking Boston Marathon terrorist bombings in 2013 and 'run Boston'.
