World War II has arrived on Marinas mountain village in Italy and she and Giorgio her childhood sweetheart embark on their life together. But its not just the hardships of war--scarce food the brutal Nazi occupiers or even the bombs from the attacking Allied planes that threaten their lives. Someone in the village means Marina and Giorgio harm... in spite of the danger and the dark and hidden threat Marina and Giorgio manage to go about their traditional life that centers on vineyard olive harvest and the cycle of the seasons. In spite of evil they manage to look beyond the hardships of today.
