However things quickly go wrong when Ukridge employs a collection of incompetent workers to assist with the farm including Captain Biscuit an ex-boyfriend of Phyllis. The plot develops as Jeremys relationship with Phyllis grows more convoluted and Ukridges chicken farm becomes more chaotic. When Ukridges treasured rooster is stolen the matter to a head and the gang embarks on an outrageous quest to find it. There are several amusing incidents misunderstandings and clever conversations along the road as only Wodehouse can provide. The book is a fun and enjoyable read that features the authors wit and humor.
