Love Hurts

<p>Today my husband killed me. I have been married to Alan for five years and from the very beginning he has been abusive towards me. However I was always convinced that no one would believe me over him as he is a well-known lawyer. Despite the abuse I stayed with him and ended up getting pregnant with his child. During that time he became the sweet man I fell in love with in high school. But tonight something was different. He became extremely angry over trivial matters and accused me of being unfaithful. He even claimed that the baby was not his and that he had evidence to prove it. I made the mistake of arguing with him and I paid a heavy price for it. Alan kicked me down a flight of stairs and left me for dead. He nonchalantly went to his office party as if nothing had happened while I lay on the living room floor bleeding profusely. Tonight my husband believed he had murdered me.</p>
