<p>The Book is a series of 31 articles -&nbsp;hence Scattered Reflections&nbsp;and the title<em> Love Knows No Rank</em><strong> </strong>is taken from one of the scattered reflections in this bilingual Arabic /English book. It is a recollection of personal experiences that the author reinterprets through a life philosophy drawing from them moral and social principles with a universal human dimension. These insights are conveyed with a broad inclusive understanding that touches all living beings across all cultures expressed in an intimate poetic style free of affectation.</p><p></p><p><strong>About the Author:</strong></p><p></p><p>Rida Asaad is Syrian-American writer who emigrated from his native Syria to the United States of America four decades ago. </p><p>His literary life started when he published a poetry collection in the late seventies under the title <strong>I Do not Fear You Because I Love You.</strong> &nbsp;It left a cultural mark on the Syrian cultural scene and remains a model of enduring humanistic content. </p><p> </p><p>He maintained his connection with his heritage for years after his migration to the USA by writing articles and stories that were published in mostly local Syrian newspapers.</p><p> </p><p>After settling in Washington he worked as a translator and an Arabic language teacher in a number of private American schools in the Washington DC area and its surrounding suburbs. He also gave private lessons to many students from the Arab American community. </p><p></p><p>He reconnected with the Arab cultural scene by writing monthly articles for the website Middle East Gateway and these articles became the core material of his book <strong>Love Knows No Rank: Scattered Reflections</strong> which reflect normal life experiences lived by the author and re-narrated to extract human ethical principles written primarily in Arabic and translated into English. </p>
