<p><em>lover / priory </em>by Adrienne Wilkinson is a formally restless and deeply sensuous collection that navigates intimacy embodiment and spiritual longing through fragmentary incantatory verse. Alternating between motifs of sacred ritual and tactile connection the poems inhabit spaces of ruins rituals and relational thresholds where the language of desire entwines with that of devotion. Wilkinson's speaker moves between lover and supplicant between childhood memory and present entanglements locating holiness in gestures of care and the remnants of architectural and emotional structures.
