The ensuing forensic analysis not only uncovers layers of corporate corruption but also a lurid criminal underworld thriving within the burgeoning underbelly of The City Beautiful. In the midst of the investigation the lead detective is forced to deal with a tangled past threatening to impinge upon his duties as an officer. On top of that he is a man on the edge dealing with an unraveling personal life. He must manage these variables in order to not only apprehend the killer but also find a way come to grips with a past that haunts him.</span></p>
