<p>They say small towns are sleepy but West Harbor is wide awake-and apparently so is my life now that Carter Reed has stepped into it. He's charming in that maddeningly casual way with his tousled hair and a grin that suggests he's in on a secret I desperately want to know. But the closer we get the more tangled things become. His past is a locked door and now I'm holding a key I'm not sure I want to turn. Then there's the shadow of his father's business secrets buried deeper than the town's coastline and Rick-the man who just might be a harbinger of disaster. My cozy flower shop once felt like a sanctuary but now it's starting to feel like the backdrop for a thriller I didn't audition for. Can I balance the chaos Carter brings into my carefully rebuilt life or am I risking everything for a man who might be more dangerous than he seems? One thing's for sure: West Harbor isn't as quiet as it pretends to be and neither am I.</p>
