M. Castells Network Society Theory

This work systematizes and summarizes the main provisions of M. Castells'' sociological theory. In addition the main contradictions of such phenomena as globalization information economy and network structures are described and the concepts of network society information society and society of network structures are analyzed. Since the early 90s the spread of information and communication technologies (ICT) has acquired a comprehensive scale with the speed of their spread exceeding all expectations. Developed countries and then part of developing countries have adopted national information society development programs. In modern conditions not only enterprises need to solve management tasks on a qualitatively new level but also the state is aware of the need to immediately respond to the economic situation in the market today.
