Milo is an inpatient at the Bellevue Psychiatric Institute & Hospital. He is clever verbose and wants absolutely nothing to do with the world outside-but doesn't seem to want much to do with anything inside either. He and his chatty roommate form a reluctant alliance to catch one of the nurses in the act of creeping into their room presumably for nefarious purposes.
