Good writing often originates from personal experience and genuine feeling. Swamidhason Francis working as a professor in a Libyan university was a witness to the events described in the novel. The novel is indeed a beautiful spectrum of hopes desires fears disappointments and in fact every facet of the human psyche. Drawing on lived experience SANDY OCEAN is written with a great deal of personal anguish. The author himself appears towards the end of the novel when he returns from India to resume his job in the Libyan University. It is not very often that a short novel leaves such a lasting impact. Suffice it to say that it truly gripped me and I read it all the way unlike many of the thrillers of these days without skipping a single page. It is indeed a one-stop journey from beginning to end. SANDY OCEAN [மணல் சமுத்திரம்] is an endearingly readable novel and warmly recommended. - Prof.M.SEBASTIAN
