About The Book

It is observed that some Christians are not faithful in the practice of Christian faith in Urhobo land. Their insincerity is due to their involvement in indigenous religious festival ancestral worship and the use of indigenous magical arts. Amulets and charms are used in Urhobo Indigenous Religions for the purpose of protecting oneself becoming an outstanding figure in the society longevity of life and fulfillment of one's desire. There is revival of the use of amulets and charms in Urhobo land and some Christians are participating in the act. The author opines that the use of indigenous magical arts (amulets and charms) by some Christians has led to the weakness of Christian faith in Urhobo land. This book will serve as eye opener to what is going on within the denominations or churches in Urhobo land and thus provide possible solution to it.
