: This book is a collection of short mythological stories by Dr. Alka Negi Tomar. They are the type of stories, any family would take pride in, the retelling. The objective is to capture the focus and imagination of young and old minds; to improve Hindi and English language skills, and to inculcate in the readers Indian values. The book is written in English and Hindi so that the knower of one language can also try out their hand at the other language. The stories are rough translations; therefore, a word-by-word translation should not be expected. The stories are a delight to the ears and sweet to the tongue. They just roll off like a summer spring- cool, refreshing, and rejuvenating. Every child has a right to listen to them. The story of Narad, Vashist, and Chitragupt are heritage tales. We have no right to deprive our children of what is fundamentally theirs. Hence this book is a tiny offering to a tall cause.
