<p><strong>Our relationship is as fake as snowflakes in summer.</strong></p><p> </p><p>She needed a Santa. I needed a girlfriend. It was the perfect arrangement. Until it wasn't.</p><p>Lyric needs a Santa and fast before her ex's vindictive interference ruins the biggest event her start-up business has ever hosted. I need a girlfriend to discourage some overzealous fans. We agree to help each other out and get a little revenge on her ex in the process simply by being seen together.</p><p>It's a good plan. Sure I've had feelings for Lyric for a while but as my sister's best friend she's off-limits anyway. Having her as my fake girlfriend doesn't change that.</p><p>But the more time we spend together the more we touch and kiss and act like a couple for the crowd and the cameras the less fake this pretend relationship feels. Before I know it time is ticking away on our arrangement and I'm nowhere near ready to let Lyric go.</p><p>With the clock counting down I have only one play: convince Lyric to give us a shot for real or take the biggest loss of my life.</p>
