Maine Line to Wembley

<p class=ql-align-justify><strong>May 1981 and the Blues are off to Wembley to play Spurs in the Centenary Cup Final. Eighteen years old Michael Taylor is going too accompanied by granddad Dougie and his colourful pals. The season had been heading for disaster but Big Mal was gone John Bond arrived and the club's fortunes were transformed.</strong></p><p class=ql-align-justify><strong>For Michael a studious lad from the middle-class suburbs university beckons. Yet through Dougie he is introduced to the working-class world of the Brunswick Estate and witnesses the destructive impact of the onset of Thatcherism. There too he meets the beautiful Millie and his outlook is transformed. Suddenly he has a decision to make. Will he now stay and study in Manchester or leave for pastures new?</strong></p><p class=ql-align-justify><strong>Taken on a madcap adventure down to the capital Michael learns that his educational journey is about far more than attending lectures and reading books.
