Making Mischief

About The Book

Screenwriter William Goldman said that the most exciting day of your life is your first day on a movie set and that the most boring day of your life is your second day on a movie set. Yet if you know what's going on it's not boring; it's a fascinating lesson in a process that few outsiders are ever permitted to witness. Films are assembled from hundreds and sometimes thousands of individual pieces and this astute behind-the-scenes journal records how all those details came about on a daily basis and resulted in a movie called Mischief. It gives rare and intimate insight into the way every motion picture with only slight variations is born.

Editor's Note: Nat Segaloff

<span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Marjorie Short is an Oscar-nominated filmmaker and member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the Documentary Branch.
