Book two finds Karny and best friend Bobby Leonard working for over a year at Big Billys carnival/circus as it travels around the Southeastern states playing different towns. Many things have happened to young Wilson. He found his father who had abandoned him at age 4. He has fallen head over heels in love with Naomi the owners daughter. There have been some terrible storms over the past year. Some were people problems and some were weather related but all were calmed as we progress through book two. From Simba the white lion that stars in the animal act and her attack and mauling of Frado a circus worker to the robbery of the circus office there never seems to be time to take a deep breath as everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop which it always does. But one thing is constant Karny loves his baseball and his girlfriend. He played on a team while spending winter in Gibsonton Florida. His prowess was brought to the Cincinnati Reds attention by way of his father Big Carny who was a minor league baseball player himself. Karny is offered a contract but is pulled between staying with his friends coworkers and of course Naomi or leaving to try his hand at making it to the bigs. This book is an exciting read. If youre looking for action humor and a really great story without any vulgar words pick it up and start. It will be difficult to put down. Enjoy volumn one along with two as you wait for three.
