Male Chauvinism Reality and Myth: A Sociological Study of Faisalabad

The feminist movements around the world are raising slogans in favor of women rights against male chauvinism. These feminist movements are presenting a very grim picture of the women depicting them imprisoned in the four walls of their homes facing domestic violence forced child bearing and rearing sexual harassment at the work places wage differences as compared to the males at the work places and absence of the women folk in the decision-making process. The feminism is gaining roots in the developing countries of the world and the family structure is getting disturbed by the continuous propaganda of the feminists about the liberation of the women from the callous grip of the male chauvinism. Men are being represented as savages un-civilized cruel tyrants authoritative domineering and of commanding nature. They are depicted exercising excessive control over the fair sex by depriving them of their due freedom.
