He completed his primary education in his village and graduated from Ranchi Jharkhand. While in Ranchi he spent 10 years immersed in commercial theater and achieved the top honor at the National Youth Festival of India.He went on to earn a Diploma in Dramatics with a Gold Medal from Bhartendu Natya Academy Lucknow before moving to Mumbai to advance his career in filmmaking. Currently he is directing a television show and pursuing research at Mumbai University on the life and work of the renowned filmmaker Bimal Roy.
