Management of Groundnut Rust

The traditional methods of disease control by means of chemical fungicides are harmful to ecosystem and human beings too. The present research investigation has effectively overcome this serious issue. The control of crop diseases with the help of plant extracts is chief and safe method for farmers. The several plant extracts are quite effective in controlling the rust disease of groundnut in laboratory and fields. A formulation ''Panchparni extract'' was successfully controlled the rust disease of groundnut in fields and preferred by farmers. Hence plant extracts are the best suitable alternatives to chemical fungicides for the control of groundnut rust disease.
