The aim of this study was to assess bleeding and possible complications associated with oral surgery in patients using oral anticoagulants without interrupting therapy by presenting a series of cases. The study included patients who underwent oral surgical procedures and were chronic users of oral anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy with no other aggravating factors for haemorrhage or any contraindication to the surgical procedure. Sociodemographic clinical and surgical variables were assessed as well as the follow-up of all the patients which was carried out according to a standardised surgical protocol in the pre- trans- and post-operative periods.
