MANAGEMENT OF WATER SALINITY IN SESAME CULTIVATION

About The Book

The objective of this research was to evaluate the growth and production of sesame genotypes as a function of strategies for the use of saline water. The experiment was developed under protected environment conditions in the municipality of Pombal-PB. The experimental design of randomized blocks was used in factorial scheme 6 x 2 being the treatments constituted of six strategies of use with saline waters applied in different stages of development of the plants (SE = without stress along the cycle of the culture; VE = saline stress in the vegetative phase; FL = salt stress in the flowering phase; FR = salt stress in the fruiting phase; VE/FL = salt stress in the vegetative and flowering phases; VE/FR = salt stress in the vegetative and fruiting phases) and two sesame genotypes (BRS Seda and BRS Anahí) with 4 repetitions.
