About The Book

This article is the result of qualitative and quantitative research into the management practices of youth and adult education (EJA) offered by the Social Service for Industry (SESI) in the state of Bahia in 2015. The aim was to investigate from the point of view of the subjects involved how management took place in this research context and what the dominant style was. The theoretical framework involved Amorim (2012) Barbosa (1995) Campos (2004) Castro (1998) Cury (2002) Diniz-Pereira (2006) Freitas and Pilla (2006) Gadotti and Romão (2004) Libâneo (2001) Lück et al (2012) among others. As a result we can say that those investigated said they understood that participation in management and pedagogical practices is fundamental for establishing democratic and participatory management actions. They broaden and strengthen management quality in the institutional sphere.
