The CCBs are working like living heart arteries and veins for the circulation of credit in the economy through financial institutions for economic development of people on the principle of ‘higher the velocity of circulation higher the economic development’. These Co-operative Organizations are instrumental to the success of the Co-operative Movement. In spite of the progress recorded during the war period the Co-operative Banking Organizations in many parts of the country were weak and needed considerable rationalization at the time of launching of the First Five Year Plan.
