Managerial performance and teaching performance in educational institutions

The present research sought to determine the relationship between managerial performance and teaching performance in state secondary educational institutions in the district of Laredo - 2016. The sample consisted of 89 teachers from 6 secondary level educational institutions. Use was made of the Management Performance questionnaire and the Teaching Performance questionnaire both proposed by the Ministry of Education; and validated by the researcher through judges'' criteria. The results indicate that there is a direct correlation (rs=.24) and significant (p<.05) between both variables; the perception of teachers in relation to management performance is medium (48%) and teaching performance is also medium (54%).
