Maneuver Estimation Model for Relative Orbit Determination

About The Book

This research investigated relative orbit determination of individual satellites within a cluster focusing on instances whena maneuver has been detected or suspected. Developed using non-linear least squares estimation the maneuver modelestimates magnitude direction and time of a suspected maneuver. Observations for the DirecTV 4S and AMC-4 satellitecollocation were obtained from the Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing (AMOS) site consisting of differentialright ascension and declination. Dynamics are modeled using Hill's equations.

This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
