Manny & the Mango Tree

Bedtime reading for little trouble-makers! When Manny is told the children cant pick any mangoes from the tree in the apt. building courtyard he feels its not fair the children tended the tree all year. The undocumented parents are afraid to act so the children go on strike scaring the grownups and raising one big hullabaloo. I liked that the kids didnt take no for an answer and they organized this protest all by them-selves...I thought it was great to read a story where children are the main actors and are learning to be troublemakers.
