About The Book

A meek young lady named Fanny Price comes to live with her well off family members the Bertrams at Mansfield Park when she is only ten years of age. Her own family is too large and too poor to raise her well so her mother chooses to send Fanny to live with her rich family members. Fanny grows up exceptionally modest and is regularly disregarded and treated horribly by her cousins her two aunties and her uncle. Mansfield Park is considered Jane Austens first mature work and one of her most profound works. There is a subtle analysis of her silent heroine and her social status and moral integrity. Jane Austen was an English novelist who wrote mostly romantic fiction that centred around female protagonist trying to find a suitable marriage proposal for social standing and financial security. Her famous works include Sense and Sensibility (1811) Pride and Prejudice (1813) Mansfield Park (1814) and Emma (1815). She wrote two additional novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion both published posthumously in 1818 and began a third which was titled Sanditon but died before completing it.
