It is important that textbooks have to be revised in view of the rapid changes as well as advances in the management issues of medical problems. Neonatology is a rapidly developing area of pediatrics and hence needs revision and additions. It is really a matter of satisfaction that the second edition of this book will be delivered to the students. Two chapters have been added and changes have been made in few chapters in this edition. Hope the readers will like it. I would take this opportunity to thank the students all over India for accepting this book as a reference book in postgraduate level.
