The manual gives insight into the recognition of critical illness in pregnancy and concept of critical care. It also includes important topics such as hemodynamic monitoring arterial blood gas analysis and blood and blood component therapy in these women. Other issues such as obstetric triage management of sudden obstetric collapse hypertensive crisis and diabetic ketoacidosis have also been addressed.
