Through advancements in the machining process machine tool technology and factory management manufacturing productivity has increased during the past 50 years in machining. This book addresses the machining procedures directly but it does so within the broader framework of manufacturing productivity. It primarily uses mechanical and materials engineering research to enhance process understanding and promote future advancements.
