About The Book

The author has done the translation of an old Indian scripture known as Manusmriti (also known as Manav Dharam Shastrar), not to stir up any controversy or criticism about any religion, but for the knowledge and benefit of Hindus, Sikhs and Punjabi readers of other Cultures. Anything said or written in one language, is not only difficult but impossible to render in the same accent in another language. So, it is not necessary for readers to agree with this effort. After reading so many versions and translations found in different languages of this ancient scripture, the author has tried to translate it into Punjabi language using simple and comparative words, so that the readers can get complete information about the contents of this ancient scripture. Especially the readers who are related to My Sikh faith can go through the pages of this book and self-examine whether they are following the simple principles of Guru Granth and Guru Panth or following the rituals (Karm- Kand's) mentioned in this book and question if, they are living their lives according to the way they are supposed to.
