After the demise of Shiv Chhatrapati Aurangzeb decided to end the Maratha regime for once and all. With a huge army he attacked the Marathas. This led to the famous ‘Freedom Fight of Marathas’. Under the able leadership of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Chhatrapati Rajaram and Queen Tarabai the Marathas fought for 26 long years. In the end the once great Mughal Emperor was defeated. He had to be burrowed in the soil of Maharashtra.
