Tooth preparation for a prosthetic crown has been always considered invasive in nature since it leads to inevitable irreversible loss of tooth hard tissues. A variety of attempts have been suggested throughout the years to develop methods of tooth preparation with minimum loss of sound tooth structure.For successful restorations the concept of minimally invasive preparation is essential. The ultimate goal of reconstructive dentistry is to obtain excellent esthetic results while simultaneously respecting the biological structures. So in this book I made a study about vertical preparation and compare it with horizontal preparation.
