About the Book: This book provides a comprehensive guide to the latest (2024) syllabus on Marine Boilers as prescribed by the Indian Maritime University for the third semester of B. Tech (Marine Engineering) course. The focus is primarily on auxiliary boilers used on motor ships with an introductory overview of main boilers to provide context. The principles discussed provide a strong foundation for both practical applications and theoretical understanding catering to students and newcomers to the field. It features over 100 illustrations to clarify intricate boiler details and includes answers to all questions from IMU exams. About the Author: The author graduated in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Bhopal in 1980 and completed his Merchant Navy Pre-Sea Training from MERI Mumbai in 1983. He began his sea career as Junior Engineer with The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. and spent over two decades at sea serving as Chief Engineer for more than a decade with Indian and foreign shipping companies. Later he transitioned to academia joining the International Maritime Institute in Greater Noida where he has been teaching for over 17 years. He has also authored a book on Marine Auxiliary Systems and Deck Machinery and actively shares his knowledge through his YouTube Channel Marine Engineering Tutorials.
